| Tannery Court Co-operative was incorporated in New Brunswick in 2004 as a non-profit enterprise to help provide targeted housing to groups in need. Since that time the co-operative has conceived, and directed the building of three new construction buildings targeted specifically at low income non-elderly singles
In partnership with the Province of New Brunswick, Tannery Court Co-operative Limited developed a 40 unit housing complex in Moncton, NB and a 50 unit housing complex in Fredericton, NB. This newest development proposed for Saint John, is in keeping with Tannery Court Co-operative Limited’s plan to further develop and operate similar projects in communities where there is a demand for safe, affordable housing. The corner of Queen and Carmarthen is ideal for an affordable housing project, located in close proximity to the uptown core of Saint John; residents will have easy access to public transportation and community services. » Fact sheet on Tannery Court Saint John » Frequently Asked Questions» Article on Tannery Court from the October 2007 issue of The Atlantic Co-operator newspaper » CMHC article on Tannery Court (pdf) Contact us Bill O'Neil |
